ENTERING THE 29^TH YEAR OF IRAN’S TAKEOVER BY THE DIEHARD CLERICS

Twenty-nine years ago on February 12^th, 1979 our country Iran was taken over by a group of diehard fundamentalist terrorists. In the name of God and religion they have destructed our country, terrorized our people with torture and atrocious acts such as stoning, hanging, maiming, cutting of limbs, removing of eyes, raping young girls before executing them, mistreating journalists and political activists, taking away the most basic rights of our women and segregating them. They keep building new prisons and filling them up to no avail.

The world that was so concerned about Human Rights Violations during the Shah’s days when our country was actually moving towards a modern society has passively watched for many years. This indifference gave an opportunity to these hoodlums not only to destruct our nation but spread their blind brand of Islamic Fundamentalism throughout the region.  Over these years the international community has dealt with this regime for their own short term economic gains which gave these monsters an opportunity to fund, train and harbor terrorist organizations. The same organizations that bombed the Argentine Jewish Cultural Center, bombed the U.S. embassy and Barracks in Lebanon, took U.S. officials hostage in Tehran and arranged for hostage takings in Lebanon, and

Continuously meddles in the internal affairs of its neighboring countries such as, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Palestine in the quest of exporting its Islamic Revolution.

Today, the world seems to have realized that it needs to stand up to this regime. The Iranian Democratic Opposition groups both inside and outside the country throughout these years has shed light on the atrocious acts committed at the hands of this regime. We are now involved in the next step of bringing about “REGIME CHANGE” in our homeland. With international support this goal will be attained much sooner. By changing this regime to a democratic, secular regime we will be making the Middle East more peaceful and the world a safer place for future generations.
