 هم میهنان؛ به پیشواز اول ماه مهر میرویم؛ روز بازگشائی مدارس و دانشگاهها، روزی که شیفتگان دانش و خرد به سنگر خود درپیکاربا  جهل و تاریک اندیشی باز می‌گردند.  دانشگاه‌ها در ایران همواره سنگر آگاهی و آزاداندیشی و آزادی‌خواهی بوده است.  چه بسیارانی از دانشگاهیان که در سال 1359 به نام انقلاب فرهنگی دستگیر و زندانی شدند و یا جان باختند.

دانشجویان و استادان و فرهنگیان پیوسته پرچم آزادیخواهی و حق طلبی را به دوش كشیده‌اند و در کنار سایر جنبشهای مردمی و به خصوص زنان و کارگران به مبارزات خود ادامه داده و میدهند.

 امروزه مبارزات فرهنگیان، زنان، کارگران، و دانشجویان دراعتراض به نابسامانیهای اقتصادی و تورم روز افزون و برای تأمین خواستهای صنفی و مدنی آنان شدت گرفته است و در مقابل آن، ما شاهد موج جدیدی از یورش به خانه ها ی فعالان این گروه‌ها و دستگیریها و اخراج آنان هستیم.  این روند سرکوب هرروز ابعاد گسترده تر، خشن تر و نگران کننده تری به خود می‌گیرد.  اعدام های گروهی در برابر دیدگان وحشت‌زده مردم و ایجاد فضای ترس و ارعاب نشان از حاکمیت نظامی وفاشیستی دارد.  زندانیان سیاسی احساس خطر كرده و هشدار میدهند که فاجعه‌ای بزرگ درراه است.

 در این شرایط بحرانی و خطرناك شایسته است ضمن محکوم كردن رفتارهای ضد انسانی و نقض فاحش حقوق بشر توسط نظام جمهوری اسلامی، و در راستای همبستگی ملی ایرانیان برای حمایت ازجنبش های مردمی و «همبستگی مهر» در داخل ایران، در گردهم‌آیی‌های اعتراضی که در نقاط مختلف اروپا و شمال آمریكا و از جمله شهرهای لندن، استکهلم و آتلانتا در روز های 29 و 30 سپنامبر برگزار می‌شود شركت كنیم.

 هم میهن؛ امروز تنها در یك همبستگی ملی می‌توانیم به مبارزات حق‌طلبانه و آزادی‌خواهانه مردم كشورمان یاری رسانیم.  در کنار هم، پیوسته، هم چون رودی خروشان و موجی سهمگین باشیم.  و بدانیم هر یک ازما سهمی در آینده میهن عزیزمان ایران داریم.   همصدا و همدل باشیم.

Our fellow Iranians, we are fast approaching the first day of the month of Mehr. It is the day that schools and universities will start their academic year. It is the day that those in search of knowledge and wisdom will return to their academic strongholds to continue their battle against ignorance and malevolence.

Universities in Iran have always been a place for freedom fighting, free thinking, and awareness. Many scholars were arrested, jailed, and lost their lives during the so called 1980’s Cultural Revolution.

Students and scholars have continuously carried the flag of freedom-fighting and protecting the rights of people along with other popular movements such as and in particular, women and workers’ movements.

Protests against the increasing economic shortcomings and inflation by students, academicians, women, and workers are accelerating. In response, we are witnessing a new wave of brutal attacks by Islamic regime on these groups, arresting their members, and firing them from their jobs. This wave of terror is expanding and dimensions of brutality are increasing. Public and mass executions to create an atmosphere of fear among the people have the clear signs of a military and fascistic type of governance. The political prisoners can clearly see these dangerous signs and they are deeply concerned.

At this critical juncture and in order to promote national solidarity among Iranians in support of popular movements and “Mehr solidarity” in Iran it is our duty to participate in gatherings and demonstrations all across the Europe and North America in cities such as London, Stockholm, and Atlanta, to name only  a few, on September 29 and 30^th.

Our fellow Iranians, it is only through national solidarity that is possible to help popular movements inside Iran. We must stay together to form one line of defense and act like a roaring river. This way each one of us will have a share in the future of our beloved country Iran. We must have one voice and feel like one heart.
